| Abstract | At the time of this interview, Jackie Holt was nearing the end of her time as Blue Ridge Parkway curator after serving in the position for nine years. Much of the focus of this interview is on the archival tasks she had undertaken and the difficulties they presented. Many projects are discussed, including the oral histories project, but there are not many specific details. Holt talks about the condition that the parkway's archives was in when she arrived and the difficulties in finding funding to upgrade to a state-of-the-art storage facility. She also touches on some of the materials found in the collection and the challenges in dealing with obsolete formats that need conversion. |
