Description Image of a woman demonstrating spinning by using a spinning wheel on the front porch of a log cabin in the Humpback Rocks Visitor Center and Mountain Farm area near milepost 5.8, section 1B of the Blue Ridge Parkway. The entire front exterior of the log cabin can be seen in the image, as well as the various tools and supplies used for spinning. Spinning is the twisting together of drawn out strands of fibers to form yarns. Image taken from the National Park Service, Blue Ridge Parkway Headquarters. Photographed by Robert G.
