Description | The image shows a blooming rue-anemone (Thalictrum thalictroides, synonym Anemonella thalictroides) plant surrounded by dried leaves and twigs. The plant was found in Roanoke County, Virginia, in Hemlock Dell 100 yards northeast of cement bridge and to the left of the road. The photograph was taken by Myrl Brooks on April 6, 1950. Marked by the National Park Service as being from milepost 125 in section 1N of the Blue Ridge Parkway. |
