Description | Image shows one end of a culvert. A stone retaining wall has been constructed around the opening in the culvert, and there are wooden boards set in front of it. There is also a bridge of planks running through the culvert, and a stream is running under them. The image was taken near where Virginia State Route 43 crosses Little Stony Creek, in the Peaks of Otter area. Image was taken on May 19, 1948 near Station 54+40, and near milepost 86 and Section 1K of the Blue Ridge Parkway. |
