Title Reconstruction of Mathews [Matthews] Cabin at Mabry Hill
Date November 26, 1956
Description Image of the Matthews Cabin being reconstructed in the Mabry Mill area near milepost 176.1, section 1T of the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin appears to be in the middle of the reconstruction process; the structure is lacking a roof and is being kept upright by supports. A worker can be seen on top of the house. The cabin was relocated from its original Mount Lebanon location to the Mabry Mill area after the Mabry house was destroyed. Image taken from the National Park Service, Blue Ridge Parkway Headquarters. Photographed by Earl W. Estes on November 26, 1956.
