Description Image shows an excavation site for a shelter on Sharp Top Mountain. The back of a truck is visible, and the truck is parked on fairly level ground. This area of level ground is bordered on one side by an incline, upon which there are large boulders and rocks. There is a man standing amongst the rocks at the base of the incline. The image was taken on Sharp Top Mountain, near milepost 85.9 and Section 1K of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Taken in April 1949.
