Description Side view of Caudill Cabin in Doughton Park on milepost 241 of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Image taken from the National Park Service, Blue Ridge Parkway Headquarters.
Commentary The Caudill family abandoned the cabin in 1916 following a major flood, and the land was acquired by Robert Doughton. Robert Doughton later donated the land to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The National Park Service performed a major restoration to the cabin in 2001.
