About this Image

Title Letter from Heriot Clarkson to Carol D. Taliaferro
Date November 3, 1938
Description Asks Taliaferro, Francis Clarkson's law firm partner, to read and comment on "Thunder and Lighening Over Little Switzerland". Notes that best thing the legal team did in the case was to involve the public through the newspapers. Calls the News and Observer the "News and Disturber" because they printed Charles Ross's version of the case.
Commentary "Thunder and Lightening" was never published. Clarkson claimed "a friend" gave it to him, but he was the likely author. Box 10, folder 539.
