About this Item
Title | Letter from Heriot Clarkson to Francis O. Clarkson |
Date | February 8, 1939 |
Description | Claims that the "new highway mars the whole Western section." Clarkson also describes a trip to Spruce Pine where he seemed to be checking the opinions of those who lived there to make sure they were still supportive. He also reveals his anger about an article Capus Waynick wrote in the High Point Enterprise, and the fact that Waynick refused to apologize for it. A handwritten note at the bottom of the letter tells Francis to thank J. Allen Austin for helping with the Waynick matter. |
