Commentary | A truck is driving down a dirt road that is under construction. This is a picture of road construction as part of the Blue Ridge Parkway development. Road construction began on March 01, 1939. The road was open to traffic on September 02, 1955. The road is 9.611 miles long. It runs between Mt. Pisgah and Yellowstone Falls. Most contracts were carried out under the supervision of the Bureau of Public Roads. |
