Description Photograph shows an automobile, workers, and wooden floor and side forms of a bridge under construction in section 2A of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Commentary Pictured here are workers, most likely from the Civilian Conservation Corp, working on building the floor and sides of bridge #8. Civilian Conservation Corp members were young men between the ages of 18-24 who were put to work conserving and developing natural resources in the United States. The CCC provided around 3 million jobs to young men throughout the Great Depression.
