| Commentary | View of construction at an intersection from 39-20 taken by W.D. Stanton. Shows the progress made my Civilian Conservation Corp workers. The Civilian Conservation Corp was set up by President Roosevelt as one of his New Deal Programs to combat the effects of the Great Depression. The Civilian Conservation Corp employed almost 3 million young men between the ages of 18-24 in jobs of conserving and developing natural resources and was one of the most popular work options the New Deal created. |
