Description Photograph shows a finished view of Pine Creek Bridge #7 near station 434+52 and mile post 225 in section 2A of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Commentary Built in 1937, this was the earliest steel girder bridge built on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is the only bridge on the Blue Ridge Parkway with steel arch piers and piers that are attached to the foundations with steel pins, allowing it to flex without damaging the structure.
