| Commentary | Moses H. Cone was a major textile magnate who opened numerous businesses in and around North Carolina. He owned property in the Blue Ridge Mountain areas. He married his wife Bertha in the 1880s. After Moses' death, Bertha donated his Flat Top Mansion to the Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. This property would later become the Moses H. Cone Memorial Park near the Blue Ridge Parkway. |
