The King to Governor Dobbs.

Trusty and Welbeloved We greet you well We being well satisfied of the Loyalty Integrity and Ability of our trusty and Welbeloved Edward Brice Dobbs Esquire have thought fit hereby to signify to you Our Will and Pleasure that forthwith upon the Receipt of these Presents you swear and Admit him the said Edward Brice Dobbs to be of Our Council in Our Province of North Carolina in America in the room of James Craven Esqr deceased And for so doing this shall be your Warrant And so we bid you farewell. Given at Our Court of St. James's the Sixteenth Day February 1756 in the Twenty Ninth Year of Our Reign.
