Halifax, February 17th, 1782.

Sir:

You will this day take Charge Sundry Packets of Letters and Deliver them to whom directed, viz: One to Col. Robert Burton, Nut Bush, Granville County, one to Major Absolum Tatum, Hillsborough, and one to Col. William Richardson Davie, Salisbury. My Letters given you on your return for his Excellency you will take the greatest care of and Deliver them as directed.

You will have his Excellency’s Bay and two horses in Charge which you will leave at Hillsborough.
