GOV. THOS. BURKE TO COL. COLLIN GUILFORD.

Halifax, March 13th, 1782.

Sir:

Major Hogg, whom I have appointed to conduct an Expedition for reducing the disaffected to the Condition either of Soldiers or Prisoners, will soon relieve you from the distresses you complain of which I have long wished to remedy. You will very probably be called on by him to Co-operate with him, and I know you will cheerfully do it. I shall transmit to General Butler an order for the Number of Arms and Ammunition you required, it being properly in his Line to procure them for you and direct the disposition of them.

I am, Sir, yr. very Obt. St.,
T. BURKE.
Col. Collin Guilford.
