GOV. THOS. BURKE TO GEN GREGORY.

Halifax, March 23d, 1782.

Sir:

I find from the letters lately received from the Governor of Virginia that we are not likely to receive proper Satisfaction for the Insult offered by the privateer in Seizing the flag. You will, therefore, proceed to execute my orders relatively to the privateers and their Captains. Settle Suspending those relative to the force to be ready to march towards Virginia.

T. BURKE.
Genl. Gregory.
