Received, Halifax, April 28th, 1785, of Ebenezer Jackson, Asst. Com'r. Army Accts., one hundred and ten final settlement certificates signed by John Pierce, Esquire, dated the first day of February

last, and numbered from 91,462 to 91,571 inclusive, amounting in the whole to eight thousand eight hundred Dollars, bearing interest at 6 per cent. per annum from the 15th day of November, 1783, it being in full for the Gratuity of eighty dollars for all the non-commissioned officers of the North Carolina line which were enlisted for, and continued in service to the end of the War, all which certificates I do hereby promise to deliver to the respective individuals, or lodge them where the Supreme Executive of the State of North Carolina shall direct.
