COMMISSIONERS FOR RAISING ORDNANCE TO GOV. CASWELL.

Edenton, 5th October, 1786.

Sir:

In consequence of an Act of the General Assembly passed last Session, entitled “an Act for recovering part of the Artillery belonging to this State” appointing us to contract with any person or persons for the Recovery of the same; we have accordingly let the same out at Public Auction. John Harris Kock contracted for the sum of ten pounds and fifteen shillings, he being the lowest bidder. He has accordingly got up the whole of them, being twenty-one pieces, and landed them agreeable to Contract, for which Service we think him entitled to his pay as the Act directs. Please to forward
