Wilson, Alexander "Sandy"

Alexander "Sandy" Wilson (1823-1880) was the son of Mary Willis (1801-1873) and Alexander (1799-1867) Wilson, Presbyterian minister and president of the Caldwell Institute in Greensboro, NC. He became a teacher and with his brother Robert presumably continued his father’s school near present-day Swepsonville, NC. The husband of Margaret E. Bradshaw (1831-1896), Wilson died of a disease of the lungs and is buried in the Hawfields Presbyterian Church Cemetery in present-day Mebane, NC.
