Thomas Lynn Johnston (d. 1879) of Lincoln County, NC, entered the University in 1839, joined the Dialectic Society, and graduated in 1843. He attended University of Pennsylvania’s Medical Department in 1846 and became a physician in Rock Hill, SC.
