Description Article regarding suit brought against A.F. Dahmer (in other articles he is identified as J.H. Dahmer and J.F. Dahmer), manager of Odeon theater for "maintaining a public nuisance" by operating a phonograph in front of his theater to attract patronage. Suit brought by D. Rountree, who operates boarding house across the street from the theater. This case was heard in mayor's court and the charges were dropped.
Notes This incident shows sometimes controversial ways theaters tried to attract customers.
