| Description | Article says that Howard and Wells, owners of the Bijou and Royal will become lessees of the Grand and Victoria, putting them in control of "all the amusements houses in the city" with exception of Academy of Music. Grand and Victoria are owned by J. M. Solky, who operated them until last July when he leased them to Deluca Bros of Bowden N.C. for 4 years. Howard and Wells have taken over the lease with poss. of renewal for 5 years. Grand will be continued as a movie house with P. W. Wells in charge. |
