Notes

Erle Stillwell's third NC theater. seating capacity- 1000 seats. interior was in a spanish "atmospheric" style. small ceiling lights simulated the night sky. John Eberson was one of many American arcitects famous for the "atmospheric" style. imitated historical and architectural styles of mostly European palaces and buildings. Stillwell would later turn towards the art deco/modern style. Theater seen as a gift to the town of Rocky Mount. Hal Orr-manager oversaw other two theaters in the town the Lyric and the Carolina.
