NC One-Dollar Note
Dated "Oct. 12th, 1861."
This one-dollar note is printed on plain paper and, as most other types of North Carolina currency, has no designs on its reverse. Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom (left), is a commonly used figure on paper money at this time.
