The subscriber offers to the public this little book, containing the names of all the cities, towns and post offices in the State of North Carolina, with the distances from the Capital and principal commercial towns, together with the population of the incorporated towns of the State, the white and the colored races divided; also the names and post offices of the leading lawyers in the State.

The subscriber has devoted much labor and pains to this work, and thinks it will be very useful to all professional and business men, as well as interesting to those who pay attention to the statistics of the State. Strangers, and the traveling public generally, will find it invaluable, as it contains information that cannot be obtained elsewhere.
