Creation of Long Meadows, a dairy co-op

Kirk describes the creation of the first dairy co-op in the area, Long Meadows, which was founded in Durham. He also remembers selling out to Dairymen, Inc. (the connection between Dairymen and Flav-O-Rich is unclear), a move they made to avoid being driven out of business. Smaller co-ops were selling to larger ones before Kirk even entered college.
