1. Henry Armand London Papers, SHC. The bound volume of 116 numbered pages measures 3 by 4 7/8 inches. It is inscribed "Henry A. London Jr. ΔΨ/ Chapell Hill NC/July 17th/1862/ Dialectic Society Soph=/=amore class of 1862-63/'Perseverando vincam'/Prof undecided/ Duck/Miss ABCDEF& c " A table of contents appears on the verso of the title page. Entries begin on July 17, 1862, and end on December 1, 1863. The diary also records the dates of letters written and received, expenses for the 1862-63 academic year, London's recitation schedule, and the number of times he was taken up in each class. The list of expenses excerpted here appears on pages 106 to 107.
