                <p>From the nature of the Contract entered into Between Capt. <name key="pn0003196" reg="Rogers, John" type="person" rend="yes">Rogers</name> &amp; <name key="pn0003101" reg="Hopkins, Samuel" type="person">Samuel
                    Hopkins</name> as Superintendant for the <name key="name0000107" reg="Board of                         Trustees" type="organization">Trustees</name>, it is apparent that the said
                        <name key="pn0003196" reg="Rogers, John" type="person">John</name> should from time to time
                    receive money for the Brick laid on the principal building; and he having called
                    on me for a Certificate of those laid this summer suggesting that he had laid
                    about one hundred thousand. I am willing to suppose that, probably nigh that
                    number may have been laid this season, supposing, at the same time, for no
                    actual calculation of the number laid has taken place, that no danger exists of
                    paying him in excess.</p>
