It would be very agreeable to him to see those who were his companions in study in some instances at the preparatory school — and in others his associates during a period of four years — to see them once more. He therefore craves leave of absence from the <name key="name0001146" reg="University of North Carolina" type="organization">University</name> for a term of not less than fourteen days, after the 24<hi rend="sup">th</hi> of July next; with a view to the object just specified as also, to transact some business connected with the course of instruction in the department of which he has the charge. <closer> <salute>Which is respectfully submitted by</salute> <signed> <name key="pn0001194" reg="Mitchell, Elisha" type="person">E.
