Webb</name>. <name key="pn0003112" reg="Jones, William Watts" type="person" rend="yes">Willie Jones</name>, and <name key="pn0001250" reg="Murphey, Archibald DeBow" type="person" rend="yes">Archibald D Murphey</name>. be appointed to transcribe the proceedings of this <name key="name0000284" reg="Dialectic Society" type="organization" rend="yes">Society</name> from its Establishment June 3<hi rend="sup">rd</hi>. 1795. up to the 12<hi rend="sup">th</hi> day of April, 1798. </p> <pb id="unc06-09-p05" n="[5]"/> <p> We the Undernamed Students of the <name key="name0001146" reg="University of North Carolina" type="organization">University of North Carolina</name>, willing to cultivate a lasting Friendship with each other, and to Promote useful Knowledge, have chearfully joined in a Society to be known by the name of the <name key="name0000284" reg="Dialectic Society" type="organization" rend="yes">Debating Society</name>.
