                <p>Finding it will be out of my power to be present at the meeting of the <name key="name0000107" reg="Board of Trustees" type="organization">Trustees</name>
                    next Wednesday; I have concluded to submit through you to the <name key="name0000107" reg="Board of Trustees" type="organization">Board</name>, my
                    views in regard to the subject of <hi rend="underscore">Chapel worship</hi>, the
                    main question to be discussed. </p>
                <p>My deliberate opinion is, that the students of our university should be required
                    to attend <hi rend="underscore">Chapel Service</hi> at some designated Hour
                    every Sabbath; not that I would restrict the Conscience or free exercise of
                    Religious opinion of any of my fellow mortals; but that our students, many of
                    whom are young &amp; inconsiderate, may be under the immediate supervision
                    of the Faculty on that day; &amp; I hope these views will meet with the
                    hearty approval of the entire <name key="name0000107" reg="Board of Trustees" type="organization">Board</name>.</p>
