                <p>M<hi rend="sup">r</hi> <name key="x" reg="x" type="person">Wright</name> from the Committee on the
                    Report of the Faculty reported the following ordinance, which was read and
                    passed, viz.</p>
                <p>An Ordinance to prohibit Students from eating or drinking at Taverns or Public
                    Houses —</p>
                <p>Be it ordained, that no Student shall eat or drink at any Tavern or Public House
                    of entertainment at any time, without leave first obtained from some member of
                    the Faculty, under the penalty of admonition and suspension; regard being had to
                    the repetition of the offence, and the general rules of punishment prescribed
                    for the regulation of the <name key="name0001146" reg="University of North                         Carolina" type="organization">Institution</name>—</p>
