Detail of method used to dismantle cabin and showing decaying condition of logs in the south wall. Logs such as these which could not be used in the restoration were saved and used as patterns for cutting the corner joints, determine the size of logs, type of hewing and any other evidence which the log might possess. This photograph was taken by C. S. Grossman in September of 1952. |
