Description Image shows two wooden signs set near the side of a trail. The sign in the background of the image is titled "Peaks of Otter", and the sign in the foreground of the image reads "Appalachian Trail / A continuous marked footpath over 2000 miles in length from Mt. Katahdin in central Maine to Springer Mt. in northern Georgia". The sign also indicates that Bearwallow Gap is 1.72 miles to the left of the sign, along the trail, and that Bobblets Gap is 0.86 miles to the right of the sign, along the trail. The image was taken at the Sharp Top overlook, near milepost 92.6 in Section 1K of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Taken by Robert G. Bruce in August 1976.
