Description The image shows a blooming bluet (Houstonia caerulea) plant surrounded by grass, dried leaves, and twigs. The plant was found in Roanoke County, Virginia, one half mile north from Hanging Rock along Catawba Road "Dark Hollow". The photograph was taken by Myrl Brooks on April 6, 1950.
