Description The image shows a steep section of hillside cleared for construction. A dirt road winds along the side of the ridge and the area surrounding the construction site is heavily wooded. Lower down the hillside from the road, there is a partially constructed arched bridge support with a crane behind it. The photograph was taken by Jack E. Boucher during the month of June 1959 south of Roanoke, Virginia, near milepost 125 in section 1N of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
