Title 20th Anniversary Window Display

Description The image shows a window display at the Appalachian Power Company Building. A large sign is set up in a curtained area. In front of it is a display board with a map of the Blue Ridge Parkway, photographs, and explanatory text. A mannequin dressed as a park ranger stands on the left side supporting a Blue Ridge Parkway twentieth anniversary poster. On the right side there is a framed photograph of the Blue Ridge Parkway and a National Park Service sign. Small trees and plants ring the display.

The photograph was taken on June 26, 1956 by James Crouch, an Appalachian Power Company photographer. The National Park Service filed the photograph as being taken near milepost 125 in section 1N of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
