Description | Image shows one end of a culvert. A stone retaining wall has been constructed around the opening in the culvert. There are wooden boards set in front of the culvert, as well as a bridge of planks running through the culvert. A stream is running through the culvert, under the planks. The image was taken near where Virginia State Route 43 crosses Little Stony Creek, near milepost 86 and Section 1K of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Taken on May 19, 1948. |
