Description Image of the front exterior of the Matthews Cabin located in the Mabry Mill area near milepost 176.1, section 1T of the Blue Ridge Parkway. The wooden structure has two steps leading up to its entryway as well as a stone chimney. There is a front walkway leading up to the cabin, with an interpretive sign outlining the history of the cabin on the left side of the walkway. There are many trees and bushes surrounding the cabin. The grounds behind the cabin can be seen through the open entryway to the cabin. Image taken from the National Park Service, Blue Ridge Parkway Headquarters. Photograph was taken in the Summer of 1974. The photographer is unknown.
