Trees line the far edge of the pasture in the background of the image. The area was intended as a crusher site and area for stock piling rocks and earth during construction of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Image taken by R.F.E. on July 9, 1936. Image taken between mileposts 165-173 near station 190+00 in section 1S of the Blue Ridge Parkway. The designated area would be near Rocky Knob in Floyd County, Va.
