Commentary | Being that Doughton Park is named after Robert Doughton, it is not particularly surprising that there is a memorial marker dedicated to him. Doughton, a congressman who offered unwavering support for the parkway's development, also donated substantial tracts of land in the Doughton Park area. Doughton was one who believed that the parkway represented progress for the county as a whole. |
