Description Photograph shows the eastern side of the storehouse for the Brinegar Cabin near mile post 238.5 in section 2C of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Taken by "KCM" in November 1941.
Commentary The Brinegar Cabin was built in the 1880s. The National Park Service acquired the building and surrounding land in order to develop a site that would show visitors what the "quintessential mountain life" was like. It stands in what is now Doughton Park.
