Washington County Veterans Memorial, Plymouth
The Washington County Veterans Memorial is made of granite that has been cut into shape of Washington County. It is a tablestone on a single base, eight-foot tall in total by five-feet wide. On the top right appears an incised Washington County seal. Cut into the base are the coat of arms for each military service, from left to right appear the Army, Navy, Marine, Air Force and Coast Guard. Long, narrow strips of granite edging form a gravel filled rectangle around the memorial. A small stone plaque to Harold Woodley rests in the gravel filled area, stone plaques to the memorial committee and donors are in the brick sidewalk leading to the memorial.
