By his Excellency Gabriel Johnston Esqre His Majesty's Captain General, Governor and Commander in Chief in and over the said Province.

A Proclamation.

Whereas the General Assembly of this Province by Virtue of his Majesty's Writts of Election were to have met at Edenton on this Day as by appointment of the said Writts, and as a sufficient number of his Majesty's Honble Council have not met according to the appointment of the said Writts

I do hereby prorogue the said Assembly to the ninth day of this Instant and the same is hereby accordingly prorogued to meet at Edenton.
