Change brings the decline of rural values

Boone bemoans the decline of rural values like "respect for adults, respect for Christian values, and respect for the church." Madison County, he thinks, has changed a great deal: it once was a place where people did not have to lock their doors at night. He worries that the construction of the I-26 corridor might accelerate these changes.
