World War I and World War II Memorial, Taylorsville
The memorial to those who died in the two world wars is a tablestone style marker with a flat top on a double base with a concrete foundation. Above the inscription on the front appears an incised eagle with spread wings clutching three arrows. On the rear is a large incised cross that fills the top half of the marker with the inscription below.

The memorial is located on the lawn of the Alexander County Courthouse, 29 W. Main Avenue in Taylorsville, NC. The marker stands at the intersection of S. Center Street and Main Avenue Drive, to the left when facing the courthouse main entrance. Nearby stand the Korean and Vietnam Wars Memorial and the Veterans Memorial Bell Tower. Across the courthouse lawn to the right are the Alexander County Confederate Monument and Civil War cannon and the Alexander County Confederate Dead memorial.
The memorial marker stands on the front lawn at a street corner.
