The building appears to be made of a stone or wood exterior, with large windows on the first floor and smaller windows on the second floor. There are three chimneys and at least two main sections of the lodge that appear from the drawing's perspective. The front entrance of the lodge faces the left side of the drawing and appears in side view in the drawing. A lawn stands in the foreground and trees and shrubs are shown to the back and side of the building. The artist and date of the drawing are unknown. The location is also unknown, but is most likely associated with milepost 155 of the Blue Ridge Parkway, in Franklin County or Floyd County, Va.
