To his left there are three men standing in the road, and to his right there is one man standing on a slope at the side of the road. The men are likely standing here to indicate the future site of the Fancy Gap Overpass, where the Blue Ridge Parkway will cross over U.S. Route 52. Image was taken near station 330 in section 1V of the Blue Ridge Parkway, near milepost 199.4. There are a few small wooden buildings faintly visible in the background. Image was taken by Edward H. Abbuehl on May 3, 1937.
